Otsimo is one of the winners of the first round of the Digital Angel Investing Program.
Otsimo delivers the necessary and missing education to children with autism through tablet computers so that they can receive an intensive and quality education. Otsimo, an application with educational games, includes many games.
Our Main Goal?
To reach children with autism and their families. In this way, to support them even in a small way and to share their burdens.
We first started our work by researching all aspects of Autism. We determined which searches families with autism perform in search engines. As a result of the research, we identified 40 generic and 120 long tail words. After determining the keywords targeted for our work, we ensured the creation of SEO compatible pages for the determined words.
Technical SEO Problems Within the Site
Copy Content Problem:
We have determined that the content on the site repeats several times with different URL structures and we have redirected such repetitive pages to their original pages with 301.
H tags:
We have determined that the H tags used on the site are not used in a certain hierarchy and we have seen that H tags are not used on many of our pages. By creating a special H tag strategy for category and detail pages, we have made h tags more efficient.
Broken Links:
We found that there were links to pages that were previously active on our page but later 404’d, and we revised all these links and ensured that they were correctly redirected to their pages.
Harmful Links:
We have identified and blocked approximately 30 links that we think are harmful to our site and we have ensured that these processes are controlled in 2-week processes.
Pages with Low Added Value:
We have identified inefficient pages and cleaned these pages and ensured that there are more valuable pages on our site.
Long Tail Strategy:
We have created content in approximately 120 different words that we have determined on the long tail side and we have managed to rank among the top 5 in almost all of these created content. If we give examples of long tail words (how to treat autism, 3-year-old autism education), we ranked high in many search derivatives.
Apart from the targeted keywords and long tails, we have identified all the words we are on page 2 and ensured that these pages are delivered to page 1 by making these pages SEO compatible. In addition to these works, we have created a strong link building by redirecting to generic keywords from the pages we have created on the long tail side.
ORGANIC TRAFFIC GROWTH;
As a result of our SEO efforts, we increased organic traffic from 2,636 on July 01, 2017 to 21,810 as of March 30, 2018.
